Qualifications for Association Membership

An organisation must meet the following criteria to qualify for consideration as a member of the Events Industry Council:

  1. Mission alignment consistent with those of the Events Industry Council.
  2. Be composed of individuals and/or organisations whose interests relate substantially to the planning and management or servicing of meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions, and be global, regional or national in structure and scope.
  3. Show evidence of its incorporation as a non-profit or tax-exempt corporation, or of its organisation as a non-profit, tax-exempt organisation through appropriate documents.
  4. Have been in continuous operation for at least three years immediately prior to application for membership.
  5. Show evidence of financial stability, including the ability to meet the Events Industry Council dues and other assessment obligations.
  6. Meet other criteria established by the EIC Board of Directors.
  7. Support the programmes of the Events Industry Council.

Completing the Application

  • A fully completed application form, including all required back-up documentation, and e-signatures of the chief executive officer and chief elected officer of the applying organisation, must be submitted to the Events Industry Council.
  • Applications are reviewed and approved by the EIC Management Team, including the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Applicant will be notified in writing regarding their membership status.
