The Events Industry Council (EIC) is inviting nominations for its committees and commissions. Applications are open from 5 October to 31 October 2026, with new members announced in January 2027.
EIC’s work is powered by an extraordinary group of volunteer leaders who serve on its committees and as EIC ambassadors. EIC seeks industry experts and thought leaders representing diverse sectors, geographies and experience to contribute their perspectives and help advance the global business events industry.
Organisations and industry stakeholders are encouraged to nominate candidates who are ready for a leadership role, passionate about the sector and understand the impact of global collaboration. Individuals may also self-nominate.
Opportunities to Serve
APEX Commission
Promotes the development and implementation of industry-wide research and accepted practices to enhance the efficiency and positive impact of the global business events industry.
CMP Governance Commission
Serves as the governing body that oversees the Certified Meeting Professional credential and its related programmes, including updates to the certification exam. Commission members provide strategic direction and represent the needs of those seeking and holding the CMP credential.
Sustainability and Social Impact Committee
Provides thought leadership and resources for accelerating sustainability and social impact practices throughout the global business events industry.
