The Events Industry Council (EIC), in partnership with Oxford Economics, is undertaking the 2026 Global Economic Significance of Business Events Study—a landmark update that will measure the sector’s $1.6 trillion USD global contribution and its catalytic impact on economic growth, innovation, and community development.
Launching in May 2026 in conjunction with Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID), the study will provide unparalleled insights into the economic and societal power of business events.
