Use of EIC Trademarks and Language.
The terms “Events Industry Council, “EIC,” “CMP”, the EIC and CMP logos, “Certified Meeting Professional”, and “CMP International Standards” are all trademarks of the Events Industry Council and may be used by the Preferred Provider strictly for purposes of educating programme attendees about the Certified Meeting Professional certification programme, including preparation for the CMP examination and continuing education to recertify the CMP credential with EIC’s permission.
Use of EIC “CMP” Trademark
To comply with EIC policies regarding the use of EIC trademarks for EIC-approved continued education programs, only EIC and its licensed partners are authorised to host CMP-branded events. This would include events such as CMP Bootcamps, CMP Study Groups, and CMP Exam Prep courses.
Language for EIC-approved continuing education programs
Preferred Providers shall state only the following in conjunction with their EIC-approved continuing education programmes, and no other uses of the EIC name or trademarks are permitted:
“[Name of Provider] has been accepted by the Events Industry Council (EIC) as a Preferred Provider of the following continuing education courses, which qualify for CMP continuing education credit. Determination of continuing education credit eligibility or Preferred Provider status does not imply EIC’s endorsement or assessment of education quality.”
Know Before You Go Email
Please encourage your attendees to register for your session, activity or event using the SAME email address used to open their EIC account. The email addresses you upload must match the email addresses in your attendees’ EIC accounts for the event to automatically populate into their accounts so they can receive EIC credits.
Here is suggested language to include in your Know Before You Go Email:
“Dear [Attendee Name],
To ensure that you receive proper CMP CE credits for attending [Event Name], please be sure that you have opened a free account at (https://eic.learningbuilder.com/account/login) with the Events Industry Council BEFORE the event.
Thank you for your participation.”
